Dating from January 1994 this smart
little Metro hails from the Rover era and is a Tahiti Special Edition powered by
a 60bhp 1.1 litre 4-cylinder petrol engine mated to 5-speed manual transmission
driving the front wheels.
The car has had just 5 owners from new who have
covered just 1,000 or so in the last 7 years. It now registeres just 26,195
miles. Finished in dark blue with grey cloth interior, the spec is typically No
Frills with wind up windows, no central locking, original Rover radio/cassette
and seating for five.
Within the history file, we find only the owner’s
pack and current MOT valid until June 2022 with no advisories recorded. The
vendor was unable to find the V5C so the new owner will need to apply online, or
by post to the DVLA with a fee of £25. The vendor has also recently fitted
a new exhaust and tyres but these are undocumented - however a quick look
confirms this to be the case.
Appearing to be in sound order above and
below from what we can see (see pictures) it represents an interesting
alternative for pottering about locally, being both affordable and cheap to
run.
