Dating from September 1998 this 100 series Toyota Land
Cruiser Amazon GX is finished in Black and sits upon its original five-spoke 16”
alloy wheels shod with chunky Michelin tyres and looks very smart
indeed.
Under the bonnet sits a 4.2-litre 1HD-FTE turbo-diesel
six-cylinder engine which develops 201bhp and 430NM of torque driving all-four
wheels via automatic transmission offering enough performance for its size and
considerable towing and off-road ability.
Inside the cabin, we find
seating for five, plus additional fold-down seats in the boot making a total of
seven seats if needed. The interior is grey cloth and shows little, if any signs
of age or wear. In addition, we find walnut trim, two-stage heated front seats,
electric windows, manually adjustable front seats with electric lumbar
adjustment for the driver, electric folding mirrors, Power Heater button, cruise
control, original radio/cassette CD (changer) player, electric aerial, rear
heating/blower control, AC, diff-lock knob and hi/low ratio box plus cup holders
front and rear.
This smart truck shows just 64,968 miles which is
particularly low for one of these Land Cruisers, most have covered well over
100k if not 200k and still going strong. As a result, it presents very well
indeed and was driven 150 miles to the sale.
The history file includes
the V5C revealing four former keepers, five old MOTs, the current MOT valid
until June 2025 recording just one advisory for “rear passenger seats missing at
time of test” and a selection of bills for parts and maintenance including a
timing belt service in November 2021 at 59,360 miles for £720 and the owner’s
manual.
