Description
Just three
owners and 48,350 miles from new; spent many years on display in a car
showroom; recently recommissioned; 5-speed gearbox; advisory-free MOT; rare
survivor in remarkably good condition
Showing just 48,350 miles in the hands of three owners and
has lived it's whole life in Devon.
Supplied new in September
1979 by Goose Green Garage Alfa Romeo dealer (stickers, number plates and
tax disc still bear the name).
Used every day
until the owner took the car off the road in 2015 and was persuaded to sell the
car to a garage in Seaton who had looked after the car's servicing
needs for many years. Stored in the garage showroom as a centre piece until 2023
when our vendor drove past, saw the car and made them an offer they
couldn't refuse.
Recent work by the vendor
includes:
Completely overhauled ignition
system.
New fuel pump.
Rebuilt alternator.
Carburettor
rebuild.
Timing belt and water pump
replaced.
The car comes with a fresh
MOT until March 2026 with no advisories recorded.
Although there is not a lot of paperwork with the car, there are
a couple of receipts for a service in 2015 and a cambelt in 2010. The
original handbook is also present.
One of the best-handling cars of its
era, the Alfasud is now extremely rare as most have long since rusted away. This
is only the second Sud we have offered in 20 years of hosting these sales
so it could be a long time before you see another for sale, let alone as smart
as this one.
