Ex-Virgin Records for the personal use of Richard Branson'e wife; only
35,700 miles indicated; advisory-free MOT
First registered
in February 2002, this Mercedes was owned from new until June 2024 by Virgin
Records for the personal use of Richard Branson’s wife who kept it at her
address in Kensington.
The V5C records five
former keepers prior to the current owner, but we are told that this is because
it was put into the names of different Virgin-affiliated companies early in its
life and was also used by other family members.
It is showing only 35,708 miles which we are told is correct.
Although the handbooks are present there is no service book. There are a few
invoices for upkeep including:
August 2019 – MOT
and service by Mercedes-Benz Oxford at 35,010 miles
August 2018 – MOT and check-over by M-B Oxford at 34,855
miles
January 2013 – service by M-B Oxford at
30,614 miles
It has an MOT until July 2026 with
no advisories recorded plus six old MOTs back to 2013. There are also a couple
of Kensington and Chelsea parking permits and various historic insurance
documents, all in the same family name.
As you
can see in the photos, this CLK is in generally good condition for its year. We
are told that the electric soft top was working fine but has become a bit
temperamental lately due to recent lack of use. We have not managed to get it
working since the car arrived on site, but it can be lowered manually.
Starting promptly and running well for the video
and the photos, it is on offer here at a modest guide price for such a
low-mileage example.
