Few owners; showing 76,735
miles; very presentable British motor car
Few British cars capture
the charm of 1960s motoring quite like the Triumph Herald, and this late-model
13/60 presents as a particularly honest and well-documented
example.
First registered on 1st April
1969, this car reaches its 57th anniversary on the very day this auction
concludes, a delightful milestone befitting such an enduring classic. It has had
just three former keepers, with the second owner retaining the car from 1990,
suggesting long-term care and continuity.
The history file is especially
impressive. The original owner maintained the car with great diligence,
supported by a collection of invoices from Bidford Garages Ltd, detailing
regular servicing and upkeep. This is complemented by an extensive MOT record,
charting the steady increase in mileage to the current
76,735.
Presented in white, the car
appears to be in very good order throughout, with a reassuringly solid feel on
inspection. Importantly, it has recently demonstrated its usability, having
driven some 15 miles to the auction without issue and performing faultlessly
during photography and video sessions.
Altogether, this is a
well-cared-for and attractively presented Herald 13/60, offering charming period
motoring with the benefit of a comprehensive and reassuring history
file.
