increasingly sought-after 1994 Volkswagen Mk3 Golf GTI is presented in
iconic Tornado Red with its correct GTI black cloth interior.
First
registered in November 1994, this example has had just four former keepers from
new and is now showing a remarkably low 55,459 miles, supported by history and
documentation.
Powered by the dependable 1,984cc
8-valve engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, this GTI delivers the
engaging, analogue driving experience that has made the model a modern classic.
The car has been in its current ownership since February 2025 and was driven
over 50 miles to site, performing exactly as expected with smooth starting,
steady idling, and confident road manners throughout.
The condition of the car is a real highlight. The bodywork presents
very well in its original Tornado Red finish, retaining a strong shine and
consistent appearance, while the interior remains clean, correct and true to its
era, with the GTI cloth trim in particularly pleasing order. There is a minor
point to note in that the lower right-hand black side skirt appears to have been
repaired previously and would benefit from being refitted to a higher standard,
though this does little to detract from the overall
presentation.
Accompanying the car is a
reassuring history file, including four previous MOT certificates, an MOT valid
until March 2027, and five service stamps recorded up to 26,454 miles. The
original handbook is present, along with a substantial collection of invoices
and receipts documenting maintenance and work carried out over the
years.
An honest, well-kept example of the Mk3
GTI that offers usability, character, and growing collector appeal, this is a
car that can be enjoyed immediately while also representing a sound addition to
any modern classic collection.
