A charming example of Ford’s
iconic Anglia Deluxe, showing just six former keepers and finished in Maroon and
Grey with a complementary Light Grey leatherette interior with darker Grey seat
inlays. First registered in June 1960, it is powered by the 997cc engine and
currently shows 89,980 miles.
Remarkably, the Anglia has
remained within the same family for most of its life, with over 65 years of
family ownership. It is accompanied by a huge amount of history, including
fascinating period diaries kept by the first owner documenting trips away during
the 1960s, together with details of servicing and maintenance such as greasing
wheel bearings and adjusting the brakes.
The history file also includes
13 old MOT certificates, parts lists, brochures, period motoring literature and
numerous invoices showing work and parts purchased over the
years.
Presented as a good used
example, the Anglia was driven over 50 miles to our site and started, drove and
stopped as expected for photography and a short
video.
