Our Commitment to Health, Safety & Quality
At Brightwells, health, safety and quality aren't just policies — they're the foundation of everything we do. This commitment shapes how we work, how we grow, and above all, how we serve the people who matter most: our customers.
Our goal is to continually strengthen the services you know and trust, combining expert knowledge, creative thinking and genuine care for our customers with the efficiency that keeps us competitive. Alongside our traditional strengths, we're embracing new ways to connect, including real-time online auctions and product sourcing, so that both existing and new customers can benefit from an ever-improving experience.
This commitment to excellence is reflected in our industry accreditations in certain divisions of our broader company. We are proud to hold certification across four internationally recognised standards: ISO 22301 (Business Continuity), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 9001 (Quality Management). These aren't just badges on a wall, they represent our ongoing promise to operate safely, responsibly and to the highest standards.
A milestone we're particularly proud of is the establishment of our Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) in 2025, which means our team has a genuine stake in the business and a personal investment in getting things right for you. The appointment of a dedicated Health & Safety Manager has further strengthened this culture of care.
Across the business, 14 team members, from the shop floor to mid-management, have gained accreditation from the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) for Managing Safely. Eleven of our Directors and Senior Managers have completed Health & Safety training, and our Health & Safety Manager holds an NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Health & Safety.
Every member of our team undergoes thorough training in areas including Health & Safety management, Manual Handling and Fire Safety. Our specialist Telehandler Drivers hold current J3 licences and slinging and signalling certificates, and we maintain rigorous risk assessments, machinery servicing and testing regimes throughout our operations.
All of this is made possible by one thing: our people. It's through their collective effort, ownership and pride in what they do that we're able to deliver the safe, high-quality service you deserve. We couldn't be more proud of what we've achieved together — and we're just getting started.
